Regular Season
Chazy Youth Hockey offers skating for youth of all ages with the levels from year to year determined by the interest at any given age group. CYH follows the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM) and New York State Amateur Hockey Association Guidelines (NYSAHA).
Ages
USA Hockey age levels are based on your child's age on 12/31 of the current year.
- IP - 1st yr skaters
- Mites 6U/8U Half ice/Cross ice
- Squirts 10U
- Peewee/Girls 12U
- Bantam/Girls 14U
- Midget/Girls 16U
When
Scotts' Memorial Rink typically has ice from around Halloween to Easter. The Chazy Youth Hockey regular season runs thorough early March and finishes with a Spring League that runs through Easter. Many factors affect the actual dates but generally this is the timeframe.
Where
All practices are held at Scotts' and Roger J Giroux Memorial Rinks. Home games are played there as well.
Practices
IP meet 1 weekday and 1 weekend day.
All other levels practice usually at least 2 times during the week
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Example: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Jersey's are provided for ages 8 and under, 10U level and older purchase their own jerseys.
Extra Costs
- CYH provides each team with $500 toward tournament fees, anything above this is the responsibility of the parents of the team attending the tournament.
- Select/Tournament Bound teams will have an additional $50 fee
Fund Raising
Additional fundraising may be permitted to assist in offsetting the cost of additional tournament entry fees. All funding raising MUST be first approved by the CYH board. As an organization we encourage fundraising for the entire club rather than just a specific team. All teams & levels benefit from the efforts of years of volunteers & donations to get the facilities we have today. Any questions please see a Hockey Committee or Board Member.

-CYH will pay entrance fee for teams qualifying for the State or National tournament ONLY for teams paying the full regular season fee
-CYH will pay the league fee for all teams in the NNYSHL
